[Open] Be Useful

Who: Bart Allen, Jason Dixon, and anyone else!
What: Impulse tries to be productive around the new camp site and does about a half decent job of it, while also getting into hijinx and sulking a bit.
Where: All around the patch of Philadelphia they're set up in.
When: After Hiccups Mirror Network conversation about finding medicine for those wounded at the Hill Tops. 1 and 2 are set before the Healing Log, 3 and 4 are set afterward.
Warnings/Notes: None at the moment. I'll update if necessary.

1. Looking for Athelas [Open]

[While he might have known what he was looking for, where it was likely to be found, and a good way to find it, Bart hadn't had the forethought to ask how much of the plant they actually needed, and set to just picking as much of it as he can find. Better too much of the stuff than too little. besides, the more he picked, the more he felt he was doing something useful.

Getting the plant that would help out the people who had been hurt in the fight to get here might not make up for his screw up (not by a long shot as far as he was concerned) but it was the least he could do in this situation.

While looking through one of the thickets in the park, he hears footsteps coming and pops his head up calling out-
] Hey, do you have any bags or anythin'? [Before even determining if the other person was friend or foe.]

2. Curiosity Killed the Speedster [Open]

[Getting easily distracted had always been an issue for Bart, and this place had a lot of distractions.

He'd started out just looking around the displaced chunk of Phillie for supplies, and had done something of a decent job of it at first. He had some real bags now, some extra supplies, and some things to hopefully distract him enough to avoid getting bored to the point of crawling out of his skin. But as he kept wandering the streets looking for more stores to scavenge from, the sound of people talking and car's honking pulled at his attention, and while he found nothing when he tried to follow the phantom noise, he did run into one of the city's few solid residents. An actual car. Or at least what one of them had become.

The thing scuttled around the street on legs instead of wheels, and as Bart tried to get closer to it by sneaking up from behind, it turns unexpectedly, lights switching to an enraged red as soon as it spots him. For a moment he freezes, prepared to jump out of the way if it came charging.

3. Self Inflicted Guard Duty [Open]

[Sitting on the steps of the library, leaning up against the concrete railing, with nothing else left to do, Impulse had relegated himself to doing a rather inefficient form of guard duty. One that involved paying little attention to his actual surroundings.

Instead, he fiddled with a cheap little plastic water gun he'd snagged from the Dollar Store, trying to very carefully fill it up with old soda using a flimsy paper funnel. On the steps in front of him, lined up under the metal hand railing, he'd set up some little cutouts made of line paper, with people drawn on them to look vaguely like some of the Flash Rogues, minus Piper, Trickster and the few others who'd retired, reformed or died. Zoom and Rival sat prominently smack in the middle of the grouping, looking very purposely badly scribbled compared to the group around them, and cartoonishly dumb and angry.

4. Sad Losers Party of Two [Closed - Dixon]

[And when he's not being productive or sulking outside with a soda loaded squirt gun, he's sulking inside between the stakes.

After finding the comic book section he practically made himself a little book nest there. Stakes of comics, as well as a few scattered books with sci-fi or paranormal titles, are all piled up around him. A few lay open as if he'd started reading them, got bored or distracted and picked up another.

Unfortunately, none of them are his favorite comic, 'The Afterlife Avengers'. Most of them are titles he's never even heard of. And while trying to find something that can actually hold his attention is at least distracting him from thinking back to everything that happened on the hills, for the most part, it's led to quite the mess around him.
