Outside Looking In

[It's not everyday you get dragged into some other world. Alistair was still fairly convinced he was dreaming. Perhaps in lieu of the final battle he had somehow managed to pass through the Veil in his sleep sending him into the Fade. It wasn't too much of a stretch to have that thought, though humans weren't meant to have any memories of their time in it if it was just from a dream.

Perhaps this would all be forgotten when he woke up. Though he distinctly remembers struggling to get any sleep. The knot in his stomach was very big and very annoying and prevented any useful sleep he needed.

He had been sat outside on a nearby rock, looking at the temple. He'd approached it earlier but something felt off. His sword oddly, didn't seem to appreciate it and it caused some discomfort to him also. So Alistair is sat there, every so often taking glances at the temple, then at the Mirror.]

Yep, you're still you.

[Small comforts at least... He rolls his eyes and huffs at his own stupidity.]

Temples bring back Odd Memories

[Having spent a lot of his upbringing in he Chantry, it was almost a recognisable setting. Of course this place looked a bit nicer than the usual places of worship back home, and the singing while slightly unnerving (where is it coming from!?) was extremely calming also. He didn't really want to be thinking about his childhood anyway...

He inhales deeply then exhales all at once. Something still felt odd and he couldn't put his finger on it but it wasn't as bad when the music helped to take his mind off it.]

Smells a lot nicer too.... Did I just say that out loud?

Teleporting is Bad (Woodland adventure! Kinda...)

[Alistair wasn't aware he was tied to a group at this point, and his instinct told him to explore the area. Maybe one of his companions could be found nearby. He wanders off into the woods, shouting their names to no avail. He'd almost given up when...]

Huh!?

[He felt an odd pull and a weird sensation as he ends up right back where he started, next to another would-be traveller such as himself.]

What... just happened? Did I bump into you? Sorry about that... I could have sworn I was-- No I was definitely in the woods just now.

Teleporting is Bad

[ One would think with all the teleporting shenanigans the group had already gone through, Imp would have been used to having people appear next to him by now. But nope.

A lifetime as a speedster who moved too fast for most people to really sneak up on him, left Imp ill-prepared for sudden surprises. So when Alistair spontaneously ports in near him, the kid lets out a startled scream and nearly trips over himself when he unconsciously jumps back away from him like a spooked animal. ]

[righteous]

[Alistair winces at the scream. He should have expected this kind of reaction but he didn't expect most things here, especially not teleporting]

Ow? My ears... [he rubs a hand along his right ear, pouting a little] Normally I'd say that was an overreaction but I suppose it's not unwarranted.

[a pause then he talks half to himself]

How did this happen though? I'm starting to think I'm going mad. [he turns to Imp] Did I say sorry by the way? I truly am. I really have no idea how this happened.

[ It takes a moment for Bart to settle back down, holding a hand to his chest, and letting out an exasperated sigh at the realization that, yeah, he definitely overreacted. ]

It's fine...just not used to people being able to- [ Did he really want to explain losing his powers to someone who literally just popped into existence next to him? ] Nevermind.

[Rubbing the back of his neck now, he looks a bit miffed with himself as he answers Alister.]

You must'a run into the border. There's some kind of magic keeping us all together. Get too far away from the rest of the group and [ He uses his hands to make a "poof" gesture. ] poof, you're teleported back with everyone else.

It can get pretty annoying.
