Most of those aren't the right kind of wood to make a staff, and you don't use branches to make weapons anyways. You need an oak sapling. Ideally, cut during winter. Feels like we're just coming into spring now, so it won't be impossible to find what we need though. The main problem is going to be the drying time, and the lack of linseed oil to keep moisture out.
